Summer Work and Travel Program

Our Summer Work and Travel Program offer a cultural exchange with a working component in the United States for University and College student to work in entry-level jobs such as housekeepers, amusement parks workers, waitresses/waiters, and many others to choose from. It allows participants to experience different cultures, forge new friendships while making some money to put towards their tuition.
Participants are allowed to work for a period of 3-4 months, and at the end of their assignment travel the country for an additional 30 days. The program duration is usually between May – September.

Requirements

Participants must provide proof that they are:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Currently enrolled in a University or College fulltime
  • Able to speak English well
  • Flexible, open-minded, and hardworking
  • Be willing to participate in an entry-level/unskilled service job

Camp Counselor Program

The camp program allows post-secondary students, youth workers and teachers to share their culture and ideas with the people from the United States in a camp setting. We work with several camps and sponsors to place applicants. Applicants get to choose their own camp and we have a wide range of camps to choose from, these include: Day, Special Needs, Residential, Sports camp and many others.
You will spend your summer working with children teaching them how to do different activities such as swimming, horseback riding, archery, riflery, dance, international cooking, arts and crafts and a lot more!! Participants are allowed to participate for a minimum period of 9 weeks days and will receive a stipend for your time worked.

Requirements

Participants must provide proof that they are:

  • Between the ages of 18-30
  • Currently employed or attending school
  • Have a clean police record
  • Love working with children
  • Have experience working with children
  • Have working with others
  • Proficient in spoken and written English

Intern and Trainee Program

The Trainee/Internship Program gives international students/participants the chance to experience intern and trainee positions with U.S. businesses and organizations. Qualified participants are matched with organizations to receive practical on-the-job training, gain career experience, and improve their professional skills and resume. Both the Trainee and the Intern programs must directly relate to the participant’s career field of study/expertise.
Maximum duration is 12 to 18 months respectively, depending on the participant’s field of study and/or occupational field. The program allows for one month of travel upon completion.

Requirements

The Internship

  • Must be currently enrolled in and pursuing studies at the degree level or certificate-
    granting post-secondary academic institution.
  • Graduated from a tertiary institution no more than 12 months prior to his or her J-1
    exchange visitor program start date.
  • The maximum duration in any field is 12 months.
  • Be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English

The Trainee

  • Must be currently enrolled in and pursuing studies at the degree level or certificate-
    granting post-secondary academic institution.
  • Graduated from a tertiary institution no more than 12 months prior to his or her J-1
    exchange visitor program start date.
  • The maximum duration in any field is 12 months.
  • Be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English
Participants must provide proof that they are:
  • At least 20 years of age.
  • Have a university degree or a professional certificate.
  • Have at least 3-5 years of work experience in the area of study.
  • Have experience in the desired field of training.
  • Able to speak English well.
  • Flexible, open-minded, and hardworking.

The Au Pair program

The Au Pair program is for young adults with child care experience who wants to live and work in a new culture providing loving childcare to a welcoming host family. An au pair doesn’t just work for a host family, they become a real part of the family, building a valuable relationship that often lasts long after the program has ended. Outside of the family, au pairs have opportunities to take classes, make new friends, and travel in their spare time.
Requirements
  • Proficient in spoken English.
  • A secondary school graduate or equivalent.
  • Between 18-and-26-years-old.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Background Check.
  • Loves working with children and have an open mind.

Teacher Program

The Teach USA programme gives an opportunity to experienced teachers to explore a new educational and cultural environment through full time teaching positions in the USA.
Requirements
  • Must be working as a teacher.
  • Two years full time teaching experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree – education or subject field in which he/she intends to teach.
  • Satisfy teaching eligibility standards of the USA – criminal background or other checks.
  • Good reputation and character.

H2B program

The H2B work allow participants to travel to the United States temporarily for work, mainly for non-agricultural jobs which the US workers are in short supply. H2B visas are targeted at skilled and unskilled workers. Most of the jobs are available within the hospitality industry i.e. housekeeping, laundry attendant, waiters/waitress, hotel front desk clerk, landscapers, and seafood processors.

The H2B program was created to help employers in the USA to fulfill seasonal, peak load, intermittent, or one-time staffing needs. The participants usually work between 4 to 10 months with a possibility to extend; which usually depends on the employer’s need and then return home to their families and communities. These positions are usually available during summer or winter.

Requirements

Participants must provide proof that they are:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Finished High School.
  • Able to speak English well.
  • Flexible, open-minded, and hardworking.
  • Be willing to work unsupervised in an unskilled service position.
